After SIAVS, poultry and pork exporters foresee US$ 301 million in businesses
Brazilian poultry, pork, genetics and egg producing and exporting agro-industries expect US$ 301 million in national and international business, based on meetings held during the International Poultry and Pork Show (SIAVS 2019), the largest event of these industries in Brazil, which took place from August 27 to 29 at Anhembi Parque, in the city of São Paulo (SP).
Organized by the Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA), SIAVS 2019 had the participation of more than 37 poultry and pork exporting agro-industries and genetics companies. Named “the Buyer Project” (Projeto Comprador), the action was carried out in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil).
According to ABPA’s surveys with the companies, in the three days of event alone, there were more than US$ 50 million in prospected and closed deals.
There were about 1,500 consolidated business meetings with buyers from 31 countries.
Considered one of the most significant business actions in the Brazilian poultry and pork industry in 2019, the participation of agro-industries in SIAVS counted on an area of 450 square meters at Anhembi Parque for 32 agro-industries, as well as exclusive booths from five other companies in the event area.
“The excellent flow of consolidated business demonstrates the success of the action. The big difference this time is that the business meetings were held at the largest poultry and pork trade show in Brazil, which optimized resources and expanded our range of business generation opportunities”, says Francisco Turra, ABPA’s president.
