ABPA APPLICABLE RESEARCH AWARD: DEADLINE FOR DELIVERY OF WORKS IS EXTENDED
São Paulo, April 29, 2019 – The deadline for applications for the ABPA Award for Applicable Research was extended to May 31. Promoted by the Brazilian Association of Animal Proteins – ABPA, the scientific award values the applicability of academic research in poultry and swine farming in Brazil.
The works can be registered for the production area (handling, breeding, breeding, sanity, animal welfare and sustainability), nutrition or processing (slaughtering, processing, quality of meat and eggs).
A judging committee made up of experts from universities, companies and research centers from various areas of agro-industrial production will evaluate the works and determine grades according to merit, compliance with the rules of the award, the applicability of the content and the clarity of oral presentation of the best works.
The principal author of the winning work will participate in one of ABPA’s international actions, being able to choose between the ANUGA fair in Germany in October 2019 or the Gulfood fair in Dubai in February 2020. Only works accepted by the commission will compete for the prize.
In its sixth edition, the Award stimulates the interaction between researchers and the agroindustrial chain, recognizing research that, in fact, can be used by companies that produce poultry, pigs and eggs.
The announcement of the results will take place on the last day of the International Poultry and Pig Industry Show (SIAVS 2019), the largest and most important meeting of Brazilian poultry and pork sectors, to be held in São Paulo from August 27 to 29, 2019 ( SP), at the Anhembi Convention Center.
