Crisis management is topic of symposium at #SIAVS2022

Preventive and contingency actions for crisis situations will be on the agenda during a symposium to be held at the International Poultry and Swine Industry Salon (SIAVS), the largest poultry and swine industry event in the country, to be held between August 9 and 11, at Anhembi Parque, in São Paulo (SP).

Scheduled throughout the morning of the third day of SIAVS, the Symposium will be mediated by the director of institutional relations of the Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA), Marcelo Osório, and will feature a broad approach to points of attention for the prevention of crisis situations. sector, as well as strategies to mitigate the situation, from different perspectives.

Divided into two parts, the symposium will, in the first stage, address issues of integrity with the director of compliance at JBS, José Marcelo Proença, prevention and strategies in the face of health crises, with the general coordinator of animal health at the Ministry of Agriculture, Jorge Caetano Junior ; and the creation of communication plans, with the communication manager of ABPA, Marcelo Oliveira.

In the second stage, the CEO of São Salvador Alimentos, Hugo Souza, will point out the technological challenges to preserve the productive framework in the face of potential crises; and consultant and veterinary doctor Nelva Grando will detail the constitution of private prevention plans aimed at health crises.

“Under the precautionary principle, the productive sector prioritizes, among its foundations of sustainability and human management, focused on transparency and integrity, as well as the prevention of crisis situations in the most diverse aspects. In this sense, the symposium will focus on different technical visions, integrating points that have as their main objective the preservation of the production chain”, highlights Ricardo Santin, president of ABPA, the association that organizes SIAVS.
