ABPA and ApexBrasil bring importers to #SIAVS2022

Importers from strategic markets for animal protein from Brazil will participate in an action organized by the Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA) and by the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), during the International Poultry and Swine Industry Exhibition (SIAVS), largest sector event in the country, to be held between August 9 and 11, at Anhembi Parque, in São Paulo (SP).

An initiative that is part of SIAVS Multiproteínas – which includes, in addition to poultry and swine farming, producers of cattle, dairy products and farmed fish – this year’s Buyer Project has confirmed, so far, the participation of importers of poultry, swine and eggs from South Africa, South Korea, Denmark, United States, Philippines, Iraq, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Peru, Qatar, Dominican Republic and Thailand.

The action, which is in its fifth edition at SIAVS, will feature business meetings with more than 40 agribusinesses that produce and export poultry, swine and eggs present at the SIAVS fair. Customer immersion actions in the Brazilian production chain are also planned, through interactions in the SIAVS Experience – a multisensory space inserted in the middle of the fair that presents videos and information about sectorial sustainability.

“In this Buyer Project, we want to go beyond generating business. SIAVS brings together the entire production chain in a single space, so there is no better opportunity to present the differentials that make Brazil one of the main global players in the food supply”, says Ricardo Santin, president of ABPA.

Held by ABPA, SIAVS is the main meeting of poultry and swine farming in Brazil, and will be even bigger than its previous edition, held in 2019. Its commercial area was expanded by 30%, adding new annexes to the space traditionally occupied by the fair. The commercialization of spaces has practically ended.

In addition to business opportunities, SIAVS will host the largest technical conference in the sector, with an intense program and more than 100 speakers from Brazil and other countries. The political weight of the event is another differential. Authorities from the national and state executive and legislative powers are expected, expanding the event’s role as the main point of debate on the directions of the sectors.

In 2019, the event received more than 20 thousand visitors from 50 countries, with more than 170 exhibitors. In the dozens of conference rooms, presentations by more than 100 speakers from Brazil and other countries took place for 2,400 delegates. Learn more at www.siavs.com.br.
