ALA promotes a Latin American meeting during SIAVS
The Latin American Poultry Association (ALA) will promote a meeting with South American members during the International Pork and Poultry Show (SIAVS), the largest event of the industries in Brazil, to take place from August 27 through 29, at Anhembi Parque in the city and state of São Paulo.
The general ALA meeting is scheduled for Wednesday (Aug. 28). The meeting will address continental strategies to prevent Avian Influenza outbreaks, such as organizing emergency simulations.
Another point on the agenda will be the recently established agreement between Mercosur countries and the European Union. The meeting will debate advances and perspectives relating to the commercial agreement, which will now be examined by members of parliament of nations involved.
“Focused on the executive, the theme of this ALA agenda will handle emerging health and trade matters for producing nations in the region. It will be an opportunity to specify actions and align the next steps, such as the trade treaties with the European market,” says Turra.
